A full marquee and the surrounding gardens

Yesterday I popped along to Knoll Gardens in Hampreston for the Mayor of Ferndown’s charity afternoon tea.   The Mayor, Cllr Steve Lugg and Mayoress Kathy Lugg greeted visitors in the gardens with a fabulous display of traditional cakes, scones, fruit and creams.  They were even good enough to cater for my dietary requirements and there was coconut cream available!!

The Marquee was playing out old time music (great old fashioned tape deck appearing to be providing the sounds but on closer inspection a rather clever set up of iphone and speaker was really doing the business  – all good fun!

Steve isn’t terrible well at the moment but what a trooper, being there even when it’s difficult for him.  Well done Steve and thanks for inviting me.  I’ve not been to Knoll Gardens before so it was a pleasure to have a look inside.
